I would like to know few things as feedback. Please, it's very much appreciated.

A) What can be improved from design point of view?
B) What about performance, the hosting is on servers in US. Is it fast enough also in Europe?
C) I don't know anything about the ''code'' but if you find some big errors please let me know where and I will try to fix it.
D) Any tricks how to promote site in Googles's eyes? Tried almost everything from sitemap, google analytics, links from other sites, still not enough. When you insert ''chess database'' into Google we are not even in first 500. ;-(. We believe this is the largest chess database offered in Internet and quality games only, thus it should sell ''easy'', but how to promote it? (with limited budget)

Wow!

Very rich content, great for chess fans like me!
The only thing I would change in the design, is the size of pictures in the slideshow to get them aligned on the right side.
Maybe try background a little darker (not white) but thats only my personal opinion.
