At last we're pleased to announce the public availability of RokBridge - phpBB3 Edition RC2.  This is a release candidate of the first incarnation of the bridge.  It basically provides asynchronous registration and profile syncing. It does NOT provide a 'wrapped' theme solution at this point.  It's completely non-invasive, require no hacks to either Joomla 1.5 or phpBB3.  It just uses plugins to perform the operations.

It has been tested quite extensively but please add any bugs/issues you find to the RokBridge Tracker. More information can be found in the original RocketWerx forum thread:

I've got it installed without any hangups but I have a couple of quick questions...

- Is it possible to synchronize existing phpBB users with Joomla?
- Is it possible to use /forum as the directory for phpBB?

Dumb question Andy.  Does this mean If I'm wrapping the forums inside the template that it wont work at this point?  If thats true will this feature be available at some point before or at Stable?
