splitmenu
«

hello,
little bit embarrassing, but I need a little help understanding splitmenu.
I've read
http://www.rockettheme.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=149&topic=3170.msg14197#msg14197
and also
http://www.rockettheme.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,190/topic,5288.0/
and I don't understand.
1. I have a main menu ...
2. I have a menu that I want to make a submenu for one of my categories, that is on my main menu.
I saw the pictures Yves attached for the first thread, but I don't see the option of making a menu parent when I edit the mainmenu...
help?

OK, very helpful video. I managed to create the sub-menu with no difficulties.
I now have 2 questions to finish what I'm trying to do:
1. What's linked to the main menu is a category. In addition, I linked each of the 3 content items in that category, to form a sub-menu.
how do I define it so that only one of the content items show when I choose from the main menu (and the other content items are shown in the sub-menu on the right)? now, all 3 items are displayed.
2. How do I make the new sub-menu's headline not appear? (since it's a sub-menu, I don't know where it's defined)

In rt_splitmenu.php, remove
Code:
$output .= "<h3>" . $menuname . " Menu</h3>\n";
