Changing the width of template doesn't works

Hello,
I'd just downloaded the template from tutorial ans I tired to change the width as explained. I put 100%, I uploaded the the file, but nothing changed! I tried to put an another value in pixels but nothing! I was in the template_css.css file!

Help me please!

So you are changing the following in template_css.css

How are you making the changes? Joomla! admin? FTP?

You could have permission errors.

I'm using Dreamweaver (html editor)!
I saw the problem! I don't have permission to remplace files in the rokwebify folder on ftp! I changed the CHMOD and all the other things, but it says Operation not permitted! So I can't upload the new css file Sad

ITS OK NOW! I EDITED THE FILE TROUGH ADMINISTRATION CONSOLE Smiley THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!

I just want to ask you why I can't remplace files in the rokwebify by uploading?
Because the new images sliced with fireworks have to be uploaded I my ftp say "not permited"!
