Hi

With regards to the SMF software, it does not add topics started in child boards to the topic post count, is there a way to make it add them to the post count (please see attached pic)?

Is there a way of changing the name "child board" to "sub categories"?

Cheers!

Hi Andrew, somewhere in the admin panel you can make the post count include child board posts. As for changing child boards, I'm sure you can but wouldn't know where to look. Pop over to the SMF forums and you'll get an answer quite quickly.

SMF Admin center 'Boards' modify child board, to include post counts.

'Count Posts
Makes new replies and topics raise members' post counts'.

In language folder find index.english.php

Line 451 change 'Child Boards' to ‘Sub Categories’

Thanks you guys, but I really cant find the thing on the admin panel to make posts made in suv categories count towards post counts for each section, maybe it is because I am using version 1.0.5, however, if this is not the problem please cna you direct me to exactly where I can find what I need to in order to make the change.

Cheers!

Ahm just realise what you mean, yes, I already have that box ticked, what I am trying to do though is make anything posted in a sub category to count towards the total number of posts for the mother category, if that makese sense...

I don't think that is possible, but better to ask over at SMF
