Title: 2 or 3 column tableless layout with image shadows.
Post by: grottydog on May 08, 2008, 10:45:02 PM
Hey all - new here. Just wondering if anyone knew what template was just simple like this.

tableless
fixed width
2 or 3 column
image shadows around the whole thing

anyone know of a simple template here or otherwise that does this?

Any help appreciated.

http://demo.rockettheme.com

best place to see them all in action

note: most modules are fully collapsible, so if you see three columns, they can become two. width can usually be controlled within parameters in all the latest ones and the forums will tell you how to control the width of the older ones

... oh i finally realised theres a template switcher up the top.

... the whole page should draw attention to the switcher.

that page is a demo of all the templates

its supposed to show all the templates. hardly what i'd call clutter

but, each to their own. you will find what you want on there

thanks. 'one more thing' seems ok. im sure ill get into the templates a bit more. replicant which is simply beautiful. i paid just to use that one. anyway - i got my simple skills to do what i needed with a background image that spans the left and right margin today. no tables. stoked.

really sorry, but are you talking about http://demo.rockettheme.com

if you are, then just look at the top - the drop down bar that lets you drop down and flick through all the templates

it's not messy - its demonstrating the sites with content, so you get an idea of what they could look like - everyone does it, maybe not as good, but they do

its messy. IMO every template should have space at the top to delineate the clutter of the browser from the site content, even if its 10px.. look im not having a go at the brilliance of the work that goes into these templates, but the info overload is an assault on the brain.

*removed the dribble and just kept the point of the post*

Perhaps Simplix is a little more simple for you with less room for clutter; are you planning on using the template to replace this thing, Ryan?

my frustration sounded aggressive and it wasn't meant to, so I edited down those posts. apologies.

i'll stick with what I have for the time being. hopefully in the next 12 months there will be something that people with very short attention spans can use.

Sadly, that [short attention span] goes hand-in-hand with your 135 IQ, genius. :)

(caveat: you would have had to read his original posts about the demo page looking like "shiete" and orgies and the like to understand what I am talking about here. ) :)

Nah, yr right, I was over the top with my comments. I admit that, and that's why I removed them.
