RocketTheme

All of the graphic design for RocketTheme templates is done with Macromedia Fireworks. Each template has it’s own folder and we always include the source Fireworks PNG file for every template we produce. These PNG files are the original files that have been used to design and development of the template and include all the layers, slices, and frames used to achieve the different variations.

Macromedia Fireworks is a web development product and is much better suited to this type of development than is Adobe Photoshop. As some people are used to Photoshop we try to provide an exported PSD file from Firewoks when asked. Photoshop files do not support all the features of the Fireworks files, and due to Adobe’s poor implementation of PNG support, the colors often do not match those in the templates. For this reason we do not advice using Photoshop, and strongly suggest using Macromedia Fireworks for any RocketTheme template editing.
