Versatility is fantastic new addition to the RocketTheme Joomla Template Club. Versatility is aptly named because this is the most flexible and versatile template available for Joomla today. It features an astonishing 14 module positions all of which are fully collapsible to provide the most creative layouts imaginable. The ability to be used in either a narrow or wide fixed width as well as a fluid width provides even more options. Combine this with the ability to configure different header/toolbar/footer colors it won’t be hard to create that unique look you are looking for. RTSplitMenu Information
The RTSplitMenu menu system in this template uses the mainmenu by default and this menu is configured in the admin administator. For this to function correctly understand that the ‘top level’ menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up below in a submenu when you click on a top-level item.
Installation - Joomla 1.5
Downloading the Template Files
- Versatility Template (rt_versatility_j15.tgz) This file is the template package you will use to install Versatility into Joomla.
- Versatility Source PNGs (versatility-sources.zip) This package contains the Adobe Fireworks source PNGs for making modifications and customizations to the images in the template. You will need Adobe Fireworks image editing to fully utilize the Source PNG files.
Using the Joomla Installer
From the Menu in your Joomla Administrator, go to Extensions → Install/Uninstall.
Next, browse for your rt_ versatility_j15.tgz file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install.
Making Versatility the Default
Next, go to Extensions → Template Manager. Find rt_ versatility_j15 on the list of installed templates.
Select the radio button to the left and then click Default up in the top right corner. Versatility is now your default template.
Additionally, you can also edit the template's customization parameters by selecting this same radio button and clicking the "Edit" button in the top right corner.
