Shock/StormTrooper has been designed from the ground up as a gaming or advanced technology template. We've been inundated with requests for more gaming style templates, so this month we teamed up with Kevin Ducommun to create the de-facto Joomla gaming design. To prove the versatility of this template we've created 4 variations right from the start. Two are quite general, and 2 are quite game specific to show you what can be done.
This design is fast, flexible and very powerful. The 'trooper' series incorporates a color controlled split menu that can be used to create distinct colored sections of your site.

RTSplitMenu Information
This exclusive RocketTheme menu system in this template use the mainmenu by default and this menu is configured in the administrator. For these to function correctly, understand that the 'top level' menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up below in a sub-horizontal menu when you click on a top-level item.

Downloading the Template Files
- Trooper Template (rt_shocktrooper_j15.tgz) This file is the template package you will use to install Trooper into Joomla.
- Trooper Source PNGs (trooper-sources.zip) This package contains the Adobe Fireworks source PNGs for making modifications and customizations to the images in the template. You will need Adobe Fireworks image editing to fully utilize the Source PNG files.
Using the Joomla Installer
From the Menu in your Joomla Administrator, go to Extensions → Install/Uninstall.
Next, browse for your rt_ shocktrooper_j15.tgz file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install.
Making Trooper the Default
Next, go to Extensions → Template Manager. Find rt_ shocktrooper_j15 on the list of installed templates.
Select the radio button to the left and then click Default up in the top right corner. Trooper is now your default template.
Additionally, you can also edit the template's customization parameters by selecting this same radio button and clicking the "Edit" button in the top right corner.

Downloading the Template Files
- Trooper Template (rt_shocktrooper.tgz) This file is the template package you will use to install Trooper into Joomla.

Using the Joomla Installer
Go to your Admin control panel for your site. In the Menu at the top, go to Installers > Templates - Site.
Next browse for your rt_shocktrooper.tgz file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install. Now Trooper is installed and in your template list. You should observe an introductory page in which you select Continue.
Making Trooper the Default
Next, from your admin control panel, go to Site > Template Manager > Site Templates. This will pull up the list of your installed templates.
Find Trooper on the list and select the radio button to the left and then click Default up in the top right corner. Trooper will now be the default template.
