OpenOffice The April 2005 Bonus template is Released! This template is a clean maroon/grey/white business oriented template with a suckerfish horizontal tab bar as well as a vertical menu system. This template is a modified version of BusinessSense, one of our most popular templates.

This template is a fixed-width with a very pleasing layout with good proportions of content to whitespace to provide an easy to read layout. This template is easily modified to use different accent colors and replacement headers.

Installation - Joomla 1.5


Downloading the Template Files

  • OpenOffice Template (rt_openoffice_j15.tgz) This file is the template package you will use to install OpenOffice into Joomla.
  • OpenOffice Source PNGs (openoffice-sources.zip) This package contains the Adobe Fireworks source PNGs for making modifications and customizations to the images in the template. You will need Adobe Fireworks image editing to fully utilize the Source PNG files.

Using the Joomla Installer

From the Menu in your Joomla Administrator, go to Extensions → Install/Uninstall.

Next, browse for your rt_ openoffice_j15.tgz file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install.

Making OpenOffice the Default

installationNext, go to Extensions → Template Manager. Find rt_ openoffice_j15 on the list of installed templates.

Select the radio button to the left and then click Default up in the top right corner. OpenOffice is now your default template.

Additionally, you can also edit the template's customization parameters by selecting this same radio button and clicking the "Edit" button in the top right corner.

Using the Joomla Installer

installationGo to your Admin control panel for your site. In the Menu at the top, go to Installers > Templates - Site.

Next browse for your md_openoffice.tgz file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install. Now OpenOffice is installed and in your template list. You should observe an introductory page in which you select Continue.

Making OpenOffice the Default

installationNext, from your admin control panel, go to Site > Template Manager > Site Templates. This will pull up the list of your installed templates.

Find OpenOffice on the list and select the radio button to the left and then click Default up in the top right corner. OpenOffice will now be the default template.
