OneMoreThing OneMoreThing is fantastic new Joomla Template addition to the RocketTheme Template Club. It provides another very clean design with some compelling features. It uses the RocketTheme Split-Menu system that is employed on the RocketTheme website as well as on Joomla.org to provide a great way to organize your site and keep track of the section you are in via the top nav bar and the pathway. OneMoreThing utilizes the variable-max technique to allow for an optimal viewing experience whether you are on 800×600 or 1600×1200+ monitors. Also collapsible columns for user1, user2, and right module positions provide great layout flexibility.

Splitmenu Information

The split-menu system uses the mainmenu menu configured in the administrator. For this to function correctly understand that the 'top level' menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up on the left a the top of the left column when you click on the top-level.


Installation - Joomla 1.5


Downloading the Template Files

  • OneMoreThing Template (rt_onemorething_j15.tgz) This file is the template package you will use to install OneMoreThing into Joomla.
  • OneMoreThing Source PNGs (onemorething-sources.zip) This package contains the Adobe Fireworks source PNGs for making modifications and customizations to the images in the template. You will need Adobe Fireworks image editing to fully utilize the Source PNG files.

Using the Joomla Installer

From the Menu in your Joomla Administrator, go to Extensions → Install/Uninstall.

Next, browse for your rt_ onemorething_j15.tgz file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install.

Making OneMoreThing the Default

installationNext, go to Extensions → Template Manager. Find rt_ onemorething_j15 on the list of installed templates.

Select the radio button to the left and then click Default up in the top right corner. OneMoreThing is now your default template.

Additionally, you can also edit the template's customization parameters by selecting this same radio button and clicking the "Edit" button in the top right corner.
