Lumiere's responsive grid system is designed for desktop, tablet and smartphone systems, each with minor modifications to ensure compatibility in each mode.
HTML5 Video in the Header
Lumiere uses HTML5 support for displaying stunning videos and images in the header. The stunning videos for each preset are generously provided by Downloops.com.
At Downloops.com you can download 200 artistic videos for reasonable price, as well as the royalty-free video loop backgrounds. They are designed to work great with video, on stage, in clubs and bars.
Michael Schneider, the founder of Downloops and the videos creator, is also available for custom video work if required.

Installation
Downloading the Template Files
To install the template, you need one of the following files.
Files required for the template to function:
- Template (Standalone) lumiere-template.zip - Standalone template file without the Gantry Framework.
- Template (Bundle) lumiere-bundle.zip - Template plus the Gantry Framework.
- RokNavMenu - Required for the menu to work.
Note: The Bundle Template is only necessary if the Gantry Library is not installed at /libraries/gantry.
There are other files that you may wish to download that accompany the release, but are not required for the template to work.
- Source PNG(s) lumiere-sources.zip - Adobe® Fireworks PNG source file(s) and any applicable fonts.
- Source BG PNG(s) lumiere-sources-bg.zip - Adobe® Fireworks PNG BG source file(s). Only distributed if the template has complex BGs.
- RocketLauncher lumiere-rocketlauncher_j25(_j30).zip - Demo replica installer.
The latest extensions can be downloaded from the Extensions Download area located here Using the Joomla Installer
- Install the template at Admin → Extensions → Extensions Manager → Browse for lumiere-template.zip → Upload & Install
Making Lumiere the Default
- Make the template default at Admin → Extensions → Template Manager → rt_lumiere → Make Default

No, Lumiere is only compatible with Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.x. The Joomla 2.5 stable has been released out for some months and you should upgrade.

No. RocketLauncher will install both Joomla and the demo sample content and images, so you will need a fresh Joomla! installation.
