I had a bone-marrow biopsy recently and I received the results today.
It was BAD news!
I have developed MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome); which means my earlier Bone-Marrow Transplant didn't work and I am probably gonna have to have another one... but this time using an outside donor.
This type is called an Allogeneic Transplant. My sister has been tested and she is a match!
The problem with developing MDS is that it leads to Leukemia.
I have a lot of friends here and I wanted to let you know.

Not the news we were all hoping for Wage. Hang in there and keep your head high as we all know you're one tough guy with a strong will to fight this crap.

The best-case-scenario is that a full-sibling is a match.... So, I lucked-out by my sister being a match!

They have already started me on these growth injections (neupogen). Not the REALLY high doses yet but the normal doses to boost my blood-counts in prep for the chemo I am starting soon.
These injections cause your pelvic bone pulsate with your heartbeat and it's very painful!!! This is bringing back memories of my first transplant.
