IMPORTANT information about UNINSTALLING Mission Control

Posted 9 years 2 months ago
    • When you wish to install the mission control template it is vitally important the you follow this procedure otherwise you could break your site.

      1. In Template Manager, change the default ADMIN template from Mission Control to another ADMIN template such as J25's BlueStork.

      2. Go to Admin -> Extend or Extensions -> Plug-In Manager -> System - MissionControl Support and DISABLE the Mission Control PLUGIN.

      3. Go to Admin -> Extend or Extensions -> Extension Manager -> Manage -> Filter: -> "Template" and click the
"rt_missioncontrol" checkbox. Then go to the upper RH corner and click the "UnInstall" button.

Do not deviate from the above sequence!

With the template removed we can remove some ancillary extensions related to Mission Control.

Go to Admin -> Extend or Extensions -> Extension Manager -> Manage -> Filter: -> type in "rok" and this will create a list of the filtered extensions:
      RokAdminAudit
      RokQuickLinks
      RokStats
      RokUserChart
      RokUserStats
      System - RokTracking

Select the checkboxes for all the above then go to the upper RH corner and click the "UnInstall" button.

Lastly, set Filter: -> type in "mission" and this will find -> "System - MissionControl Support" and UnInstall this also.

Now all remnants of Mission Control are removed...well almost.
There will still linger a trace in your DB so if you really need ALL of it out then open your PhPMyAdmin console or Adminer (my fave) and select "SQL Command". Enter this query:
      SELECT * FROM `#your_DB_PreFix_extensions` WHERE `element` = 'missioncontrol'

Then just delete that table entry.

      Regards, Mark.
