    • Hello,

I am proud of presenting my new website based on Vermilion.
It is a website of a group of companies which operate port services.
      Please visit www.sogena.com !

      -- The making of

      Website is bilingual French-English.
Non responsive (i hate responsive), also thanks RT for letting us choose.

Every company has its own page with :
      - title (top-a)
      - short presentation and logo (article)
      - images gallery with captions (sidebar-a)
      - contact details (mainbottom-a)

I also use a contact form that i bought for a few euros. It is fully customizable and allows attachments.

      -- My feed back

I am not a professional web developer, also i have already created a Joomla website in 2006.
For the story, that was when you needed some html + php + javascript + css notions to customize a template.

Now, everything is so simple : just clic with your mouse and that's almost it :-)
I am now a Management Controller ! far from web development issues...

The most difficult was the multilingual issue. I think Joomfish was easier than Joomla 3.3 core.

Endly, Rockettheme was great in answering my questions on the forum. THANKS A LOT !

Have a great time visiting and let me know what you think of it !

Fair enough but what if the client of your next project wants users to see the site properly on mobiles and tablets??

Did you happen to see this -> http://www.rockettheme.com/docs/joomla/basic/how_to_create_a_multilingual_site.md

As for your site, very professional looking - nice

    • Thank you for your comments, DanG.

About multilingual: yes, i followed a tutorial, otherwise would not have succeeded.

In my website, each page has 5 different "contents" to translate, which makes it long:
      - title (top-a)
      - presentation (the article itself)
      - images gallery with captions (sidebar-a)
      - contact details (mainbottom-a)
      - and the menu link, of course.

PS: i did not create FR galleries + ENG galleries. I only wrote captions in both languages in the same gallery, to simplify my work.

Time to create page: 0.050 seconds
