Sorry I reckon you're busy with other stuff.

But damn it's annoying to see another Windows only local Joomla manager again.. This one was just released http://www.joomlaremote.com/

I want one for Mac too.

But perhaps you got some knowledge to why Joomla isn't working with normal Mac blog editors like Mars Edit and similar? I mean Joomla is a big CMS, so why isn't it working pr. default? For some reason I would think it was a top priority to make Joomla work nicely with such editors.......

Oh well SiteMan might launch one day, but the blog hasn't posted anything since summer, so I don't have my hopes that high anymore.

I see Drupal is supported by both MarsEdit, Ecto and others... Out of curiosity have anyone thought about using that instead of Joomla?

Sorry I am just crying here and have a hard time understanding why Joomla is not working like Drupal, WP, Blogger, TypePad when it comes to local editing... It just seem soooo old fashioned in that department, had a feeling such stuff would have been sorted in 1.5....

I am a cry baby.... but feel free to cry with me :p

Judging from the screenshots I think Joomlatools' SiteMan will work on Mac too. ;)

Yeah I know and I have commented a couple of times on the JoomlaTools blog... And if it get's released one day I will be happy, but no updates in months and some time ago they did know the launch date, they just didn't reveal it :(

But bottom line I am mostly annoyed that Joomla does not work with "normal" blog editors as all Blogs and CMS's does. I tried asking on the Joomla forum, but no luck there either.

If someone from Joomla could say "sorry we screwed up with our XML RPC it wont work" I would be happy to know that. But no luck about  that...

YEP.

6 months ago I hadn't ever heard of Joomla, I knew nothing of HTML, CSS or PHP. In a short time I've learnt a lot! And in that time I've experienced the known frustrations of J and heard about Drupals high reputation as well.

Once I get my current site settled in and finished I will start playing around with Drupal, I've got another 2 websites I want to start, so we'll see how the experimenting goes..... and go from there.
