Please help med export slices in Fireworks

  • Please help med export slices in Fireworks

    • I downloaded the 30 day trial of Fireworks so I could change the logo of the Internet Gazette template (which is a GREAT template).

      I changed the text / logo but I cannot figure out, though, how to export the two bits of grapchis to .png-files.

      Please help! ::)

    • I tried Grants explanation, but it doesn't work on the mac-version of Fireworks. You cannot "right click" with a single-button-mouse :)

    • You just need to have the correct frame selected from the Frames and History to match your colors/template.

      Then you need to select the slice you want to export from the Layers Menu

      Then to menus: File->Export->
      • name: your file correctly
      • export: images only
      • slices: export slices (check the boxes for selected slices and current frame only)

      Make sure you get all three slices :)

      I CAN change the text / logo but I cannot get the D*MN thing exported :(

      1. In FRAMES AND HISTORY, I cannot do anything - there's only one "Frame 1" and nothing about colours etc.???
      2. In EXPORT - I cannot check the "current frame only" as it's greyed out"

      I'm using the psd-file-version. A sliced PSD-file would normally (ind Photoshop) be pretty straight forward to "save for web" and it'll automatically give every single slice the right size and name.

      As we're already using IG for three live sites, we're kind of eager (to say the least) to get the logo/headline fixed and Fireworks is giving me a real hard time >:(

      Download and use the PNG...since that's what Fireworks uses.
      PNG=Fireworks
      PSD=Photoshop
