- Can you recommend some J3-compatible templates that we can use to replace SolarSentinel which isn't J3-compatible? We use the RokStories module. One of our sites that uses SolarSentinel is www.westside-bible.org

As for the layout is concerned, these are pretty close:

Styling can be changed via the Template Manager and/or CSS coding.

- Thanks for the recommendations. What features should I be looking for when choosing a new template for an existing site? Module positions? Anything else?

Exactly, you should be able to find a newer template with a similar setup to Solar Sentinel.
Just remember where you see Showcase - Showcase2 - Showcase2 this would translate to the newer template module position of Showcase. All Gantry based templates have the ability to display up to SIX modules in any module position, other than the Main body. There are references to this on the MODULE POSITION's page.
So the site will see TWO major improvements:
1) Responsive for mobile devices
2) escapes the dilemma when Joomla's EOS arrives for J25.
