Show level 1+2 in Split-Menu main navigation

  • Show level 1+2 in Split-Menu main navigation

    • I have the rockettheme split menu and it should work like this:

      Show level 1+2 in mainnav and 2+3+4 in submenu.

      So it should just show a additional level 2 in main menu like it does with the Rockettheme dropdown menu.

      Sorry, I cannot show you the site.

    • I don't think you can configure a split menu like that... though I've never tried...

      docs.joomla.org/Split_menus

      docs.joomla.org/Creating_a_submenu

      .... You can have a parent menu with multiple child menus... but I don't know having 2 top levels in that parent menu...

      in any case, it's not a template thing... it's a Core Joomla thing... so give it a shot how you think it should be set up and check out the Joomla Forums for assistance

    • It must be a combination of the RocketTheme Dropdown menu and the Splitmenu.

    • The menu on our site (rockettheme.com) is highly customized

    • Yes. But no sidebar with menu.

      Is it possible to show the same nav in 2 different positions? So i can try to disable the first level via css.

      I tried to copy the mainnav position to the mainbody section but the problem is that i cannot include the menu in the sidebar because of this call:

      <?php echo $gantry->displayMainbody('mainbody','sidebar','standard','standard','standard','standard','standard'); ?>

      is there a hook for the sidebar?

    • This type of customization is really beyond the scope of support...

      You can publish as many menu modules as you want, all pointed to the same Menu... however, you can only have 1 menu loaded via the Template Manager > Menu tab that gets the Template style applied to it.
