Afterburner to Afterburner2 template upgrade

I have a site using the Afterburner template, on Joomla 2.5.x, that I would like to upgrade to Joomla 3.3.x
1) Will the original Afterburner template work with J3.3.x? It doesn't show support for it, so my assumption is no.
2) Will Afterburner2 import, or in some way, copy the Afterburner template changes I made in the Template manager to Afterburner (no custom, or CSS changes, just changes in Template manager)?
3) Would the correct process be:
Install Afterburner2 on current joomla 2.5.x
Then upgrade to Joomla 3.3.x

- no they really are two different templates. Afterburner2 is improved including being responsive but the older version is not in fact the same thing so will not carry over as the directory it installs in is different as well.
