    SOLVED Error 404 on homepage

Posted 6 years 6 months ago
    • Hi
On Gantry 5.4.17, today I have an error 404 on homepage, after a few updates made by my client.

There is no Joomla article on this page, and the menu link of the homepage is index.php?option=com_gantry5&view=custom

I have no idea where I have to look for the solution...

      A suggestion ?

    • Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.

Please post your FTP logon, password and FTP URL in the secure area of your post.

      Regards, Mark.

    • I need to see the error - please revert whatever you did with RSSEO.

Yes FTP access would also be useful/

    • I don't understand why, but after I disabled the redirection for pages 404 on RSSEO (and all caches empty), they are still redirected to the home page.
Anyway, the 404 error label still appears in the navigators.
See FTP connection in secure tab.

    • FTP details don't give me access to anything other than a .ftpquota file - please check.

EDIT: I cleared your server cache and it seems fine now?

      Regards, Mark.

    • Sorry.
I think this FTP login in the Secure tab is OK.

    • Ironically it's actually your RSSEO plugin causing the issue and soon as I disabled that in extensions manager > manage and cleared server cache it works fine... I've left it disabled so you can see.

    • What a surprise !
OK. I'll try to understand what happens in RSSEO (my client was actually working on it ...).

So, Gantry was not guilty !

Thanks a lot Mark. Ticket closed.
