SOLVED can't activate RokSprocket in wooCommerce storefront theme

I'm trying to insert a rokSprocket widget into the header of a woo Commerce storefront theme but each time I click the 'activate' button from the plugins menu, i get the prompts:
"RokSprocket v2.1.6 needs at least RokCommon Version 3.1.11. You currently have RokCommon Version ROKCOMMON"
&
"RokSprocket Plugin has been deactivated."
Installed are:
Gantry 4.1.4
RokSprocket 2.1.6
I do have jetpack ver3.5.3 plugin by WordPress installed. Perhaps that has something to do with this because I recall that before i installed jetpack, i was seeing the Gantry page customization controls in the Appearance side menu, but since i installed jetpack, the jetpack customization menu seems to have taken over. - -Roy-

Download this and update RokCommon to latest version you need to do it manually just override the files in plugins dir:

I do Not see anything that indicates that I currently have rokCommon installed; nothing in the admin panel list of plugins or any folders in the 'plugins' folder that match the folder structure of wp_rokcommon-3.2.0.zip bundle.
Being that there's no sign of a previously installed rokcommon plugin, should i install it via the admin plugins panel, or just upload the parent folder into the wp-content/plugins folder? - -Roy-

Since there was no sign of a previous installation, i installed via the admin/plugins panel and then activated rokSprocket.
I can now see the rokSprocket admin menu and it seems everything is working.
I'll mark this resolved as soon as i ad and test a widget. - -Roy-

iT'S WORKING FINE.
i presume that to update an existing previous version of rokbox, you extract the contents of the zip folder and then just ftp/upload the folder and replace the existing folder on the server, right? - -Roy-
