HELP: RokGallery made my website crash

Posted 9 years 4 months ago
    • After trying the RokGallery pluggin, I hated it and went through the process of deactivating it and deleting it. When I deleted it, I go this error message:

"Uncaught exception: The parameter "roksprocket.template.override.path" must be defined."

And now I can't get back into my website, let alone dashboard.

It's a lot night, I've worked all day, and this is really annoying!

    • did you remove rokcommon as well?

      RokSprocket needs that...

      try reinstalling RokCommon and/or RokSprocket

    • FIXED it. Had to use my FTP client to manually change the name of RokSprocket to "womething"...I got into Dashboard. Then went back to FTP, and changed the name back to "Rocksprocket." This happened when I deleted that RokGallery plugin I tried using--and the user interface for it is not very intuitive.

Super confusing to use and once again, there isn't enough documentation to support all the inner details and buttons of it and what they do. I didn't have the time to spend a day trying to figure it out.

    • Sorry you had trouble with RokGallery....

It's a tagged based system... once you understand that, and galleries, it's a pretty nice image/photo management system for WordPress.

You can always post in the WordPress RokGallery forum if you have issues.

      Glad you got it fixed.
