Extensions have hard-coded site URL?

  • Extensions have hard-coded site URL?

Posted 9 years 7 months ago
    • I've moved a Magento website to a different domain. The website uses RocketTheme Magento extension for menu, sliders, footer blocks etc etc. Everything on the new site is functioning perfectly but all the modules related to the RocketTheme extension have the OLD website URL. I have searched the database and all site files and I cannot find the hard coded URL. I've cleared the site cache many times and even manually deleted it.

You can see the problem here: cygnussd.co.uk. The top header image isn't loading as it's looking at the wrong URL for the image (old website). The right menu half way down the page has links pointing to the old website.

      Any ideas?

    • Click "Reply" (not the quick one) and there's a private tab to post stuff in.

    • I think the header template itself has been altered and hardcoded - there's inline styling been added to it, which isn't there by default, so I believe the url for the header has probably been added there too:

Please log in or register to see it.

      Check the following file: app/design/frontend/mynxx/default/template/rokmagemodules/rokmage-modalheader/rokmage-modal-header.phtml

    • You're a star Sam, thank you so much. My Dreamweaver search function was obviously not working today!

    • I've spent hours trying to find that image URL in the site code and I can't find it anywhere. I managed to fix the links in the right menu but that image at the top is a mystery.

Is there any chance that this could have been set via the site admin?
