afterburner2 using wrong url for homepage canonical

  • afterburner2 using wrong url for homepage canonical

    • I'm using Afterburner2 template for a site. When I view source on the homepage, I'm noticing a line

      <link href="/" rel="canonical" />

      It looks like all other pages linked have rel="canonical" as well

      I don't have this line on my other 2 Afterburner sites. How is this controlled and shouldn't canonical URL's be full realitve URL's i.e mysite.com/here. It's showing on sub pages <link href="/here" rel="canonical" /> instead.

      Thanks

    • That would be Joomla... or some other component you're loading within joomla... the template isn't going to set anything like that

    • Hi, just to close the loop on this - it was an issue in blog software i installed. The reference was coming from a published menu item. The blog software confirmed this is a potential issue so we manually edited a core file with an absolutle URL for now.

      Thanks,

    • good deal

      If a thread is solved please edit your *original/first* post and place "[SOLVED]" (no quotes; but you do need the brackets) at the beginning of your post title. Changing the post icon to the Solved Checkmark is helpful too. :)
