Template Corrupt - Can it be fixed?

I'm having a problem with a corrupt template. When I try to edit the template in the template manager I get the following error - " 1146 Table '[mytablename]_updates' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM `[mytablename]_updates`
Is there an easy way to solve/fix this problem? I tried reinstalling the template and the entire site broke.
Any recommendations about how to proceed would be appreciated.

Try to repair database:
Go to Joomla Admin and Navigate to Extension Manager
Click on Database
You'll see Fix button on top bar so just click on it.
and see if it will work! - Available for CUSTOM WORK with Joomla, WordPress and Grav Templates and Gantry Framework!

I went to try that and received this error after clicking on database.
"1146 Table 'girlscou_amityacres.amity34_updates' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW COLUMNS IN `amity34_updates` WHERE field = 'infourl' "
I was hoping it would be that easy.
