Virus showing only in mobile view

  • Virus showing only in mobile view

    • On a site which I am developing under the URL (REMOVED BY MODERATOR), the mobile view (Android) is redirecting to various adservers and porn sites. No virus shows in the normal browser view (Windows, haven`t tried Mac yet). It's a Joomla 3.x site.
It seems that is related to the mobile template, can someone help me and point me in the right direction about how to fix this?

    • You will have to look at the code and see how your site has been hacked. The chances are it's in the index.php file - that's where hackers usually attack. You should change all your passwords and make then long (I user 30 characters passwords). Also you should increase the security of your site by using something like Akeeba Admin Tools Pro or RSFirewall. There are also commercial site cleaning services and products available is you google for these.

Once you've been hacked it can be quite hard to trace. Another "quick" was of fixing things is to reinstall the RT template (provide you haven't made any changes to our original files) as this will restore clean files.

Quite frankly I did not try you link because I don't want to see that kind of stuff and nor to I want to take the chance of my machine being infected either. I have moved your link to the secure area too so that other member don't follow the link either.

      Regards, Mark.
