Flexible Tab Based Content Module RokTabs is a tabbed content module, standalone and sporting its own themes (light and dark). Content is transitions, either by fade or scroll, and is powered by mootools.
The module has the ability to be fully automated, switching based on time or manually by user interaction. RokTabs also has support for the plugin allowing to load modules inside it, as well as supporting K2.
UPDATE: RokTabs has been updated to be compatible with the K2 extension.

History
RokTabs originally started its life as a dependent module, RokSlide, which made its debut in June 2007 for the Elemental template release. It was used in the next templates, with individual styling for each template from Replicant - Firenzie. Then, in November 2007, the Dimensions release showed RokSlide as an integrated feature, rather than a dependent module.
The first instance of its fully independent and revolutionised form, the module that we see today, was in February 2009, the month after RocketTheme focused on Joomla 1.5 only templates. It has made an appearance in each template ever since with theme specific CSS.
Installation - Joomla 1.5
Downloading the Extension Files
- RokTabs Module (mod_roktabs.zip) This file is the module package you will use to install RokTabs into Joomla.
Using the Joomla Installer
From the Menu in your Joomla Administrator, go to Extensions → Install/Uninstall.
Next, browse for your mod_roktabs.zip file you downloaded and then click Upload File & Install.
Accessing the Module Page
Next, go to Extensions → Module Manager. From the list, find RokTabs and open it to be brought to the RokTabs Module Manager page, which lists all the available options for the module.
Configuration
RokTabs is a highly configurable module that allows you to control the various aspects of its appearance and functions. Details of each options are as follows:-
Category: Select the category where you wish the tabbed content to be sourced from.Section: Select the section where you wish the tabbed content to be sourced from.
Order: Determine the order of the tabs, such as Recently Modified First or Recently Added First.
Authors: If applicable, set the Author of the articles you wish to display. This option defaults to all.
Theme Style: By default, RokTabs is accompanied by two styles, light and dark. However, if you wish to use your own styles from the template, set the value as base.
Width: Manually set the width, in pixels, of the RokTabs module. Note that the height is dynamic.
Max # of Tabs: Set the maximum number of tabs, or 0 to show all.
Transition Duration: Set the duration, in milliseconds, for the length of time for the transition for each change of a tab.
Transition Type: Choose the type of mootools transition you wish RokTabs, either fading or scrolling.
Transition Effect: Choose the effect of mootools transition you wish RokTabs to exhibit on change over.
Tabs Position: Set the position of the tabs, either top, bottom or hidden altogether.
Tabs Title: Select which attribute is loaded as the Tab Title, such as the content title of the article.
Incremental Text: If the Tab Title is a sequential one, this option will set the text that will appear as a prefix. Such an example would be Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3.
Hide H6 Tags: Enable this option if you wish to disable any H6 HTML tags.
Autoplay: When active, RokTabs will automatically transition through your tabbed content.
Autoplay Delay: Set the delay between automatic transitions in milliseconds.
