Crystalline Drupal Theme

Crystalline Crystalline, the June 2011 Club Theme release, features the new Color Chooser, a powerful new addition that allows you to customize the theme style with great ease. With just a few adjustments, you can dramatically change the appearance of your entire site.

The transparent nature of the theme is what gives the Color Chooser its foundation, but the theme has many more features such as custom views and 960 grid system, but other extras too, such as dynamic block variations and the dFission Menu.

Color Chooser & 12 Preset Styles

The Color Chooser is, in effect, an interactive popup that allows you to edit the various style elements of Crystalline, such as background, text, link colour and overlay graphics, live. The transparent nature of the theme makes the Color Chooser so extraordinary.

Additionally, we have pre-configured 12 preset styles with the Color Chooser to show a small selection of how the feature can be used.

960 Grid System

We now feature the 960 Grid system for simple and consistent layout for our themes. Along with easy customization in the theme administrator.

The entire template is based on the grid system. Each block regions is divided into the appropriate grid based on the number of blocks in the region. You can modify the grid for each region in the Theme Admin > Grid Layouts section.

Installation


To Install Using the RocketLauncher

Download the Crystalline RocketLauncher (rt_crystalline_d6-rocketlauncher.zip) This is the RocketLauncher pack for Crystalline which is a complete Drupal install which has the theme pre-installed and configured. Similarly, the demo content is injected and the modules are also pre-installed.
  • Extract d_crystalline_d6-rocketlauncher.zip
  • Copy the contents to the location you want to install Drupal
  • Navigate to that location in your browser and run the Drupal installer
  • Drupal, the theme, demo content and modules will all be installed and enabled

Install Theme and Modules Only

Download the Crystalline Theme (rt_crystalline_d6.tgz) This file is the theme-only package you will use to install just the theme into Drupal.
  • Extract d_crystalline_d6.tgz
  • Load your FTP client, such as FileZilla
  • Upload the d_crystalline_d6 folder to the /sites/all/themes/ folder in your Drupal install
  • Login into the Drupal administrator
  • Go to Administer | Themes
  • Check Enable and Default to the right of Crystalline
  • Click Save Configuration
Download the Crystalline Modules (rt_crystalline_d6-modules.zip) This file is the modules-only package you will use to install just the modules into your Crystalline-themed Drupal site.
  • Extract d_crystalline_d6-modules.zip
  • Extract the individual modules
  • Load your FTP client, such as FileZilla
  • Upload the various Kinetic modules folders to the /sites/all/modules/ folder
  • Login into the Drupal administrator
  • Go to Administer | Modules
  • Enable the Custom Modules (Other) for Crystalline
  • Click Save Configuration

Other Downloads

There are other files that you may wish to download that accompany the release, but are not required for the theme to work.

  • Crystalline Source PNG(s) rt-crystalline-sources.zip – This contains all the Adobe Fireworks PNG source files for the theme, and if applicable, the logo font.
