September 1st marks the 5th birthday of Joomla. As a member of the founding core team that split from Mambo back in 2005 this is a very special day for me. It doesn't seem possible that 5 years have passed already as they have simply flown by. Over the past 5 years RocketTheme has grown from a one-man operation into a thriving team and a huge community of passionate and enthusiastic developers and designers. I'm really proud of how Joomla has grown from a humble CMS with a nearly unpronounceable name that had a boggling 9 hits in Google, to one of the most popular opensource CMS's around.
