RocketTheme State of the Union

2009 has been a very busy year for RocketTheme. At the start of the year we introduced our new RocketTheme version 2.0 site which was a complicated process to say the least. With that launch we also unveiled our phpBB3 Style Club that now contains nearly 30 fantastic styles for phpBB3. In June we launched our Extensions Club that provides access to some really unique extensions for a small membership fee. We also made this club complimentary for our existing Joomla template club members. This month we introduce our new WordPress Theme Club into the RocketTheme family.

WordPress is a blog publishing tool that's been around since 2003. Like Joomla, and phpBB3, it's an open-source project that is released under the GPLv2 license. This means that's it's free and easily accessible and along with it's cross platform design, and minimal system requirements, it's a great solution for those wanting a modern blog-powered website. As the most popular open source blogging platform on the planet, we here at RocketTheme have been asked for years to provide our cutting-edge Joomla designs for WordPress. Well today is your lucky day, because we have just launched our new WordPress Theme Club and we have big plans for it!

In the next few months we're going to work tirelessly on 'catching up' with the Joomla Templates so that the WordPress Theme will be released in the weeks following the Joomla Release. We've done this with the phpBB3 themes and it's worked out great. So the next themes we have in the pipeline are WordPress versions of Refraction and Affinity. Of course, WordPress is not Joomla so Joomla-only extensions like JomSocial and K2 will not be supported in the WordPress theme. However all the design goodness will be carried over intact.

So what's in RocketTheme's future? We have big plans, and one of those is already in an advanced state of development, however we don't want to give all our secrets away! Stay tuned for more great things from us in the future.
