RokDownloads 0.98a Released

Well, another release of RokDownloads is in the bag. There is the usually round of bug fixes of course. But this one is actually kinda nice because it includes the RokDownloads Link Content Plugin. This is also probably the last alpha release unless some major bug pops up.

RokDownloads Link Content Plugin

There is a now a nice button on your Joomla Article editor where you can find any download you have in one of your download menu item tree and link directly to it. It also works from within the RokDownloads Descriptions as well, just like every other Joomla content plugin.

Once you click on the "RokDownload Link" button, you will get the popup to select what download you want to link to. Since you can have the same download in multiple menu items, it allows you to select the menu you want the link to go to as well.

Bug Fixes

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs... Always Bugs. Well we have stomped a couple of them that were quite annoying. Starting with the SEF aliases not working right for some UTF characters. As well we were able to get content plugins working for all items in a folder view. Plus some other little ones along the way.

Whats Next?

This is probably the last Alpha. We do have some plans for a little bit of rework on RokDownloads to make it more of a plugin driven system. Lot of ideas for pro that just need a more modular way of dropping in.
