Joomla Templates - Join the RocketTheme Joomla Templates Club

Shock/StormTrooper has been designed from the ground up as a gaming or advanced technology template. We’ve been inundated with requests for more gaming style templates, so this month we teamed up with Kevin Ducommun to create the de-facto Joomla gaming design. To prove the versatility of this template we’ve created 4 variations right from the start. Two are quite general, and 2 are quite game specific to show you what can be done. As always this design is fast, flexible and very powerful. The ‘trooper’ series incorporates a color controlled split menu that can be used to create distinct colored sections of your site.

RTSplitMenu Information

This exclusive RocketTheme menu system in this template use the mainmenu by default and this menu is configured in the admin administator. For these to function correctly, understand that the ‘top level’ menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up below in a sub-horizontal menu when you click on a top-level item. Instructions

1. Install as normal using the Site Templates Installer
2. to have a side module in a specific color, put -[color] in the module class suffix, eg “-red”. This is done by click on the module in question in the “Site Module Manager”
3. The primary navigation for this template uses the exclusive RTSplitenu System. Refer to the menu instructions above to find out how to create the menu properly.
4. Follow the Module Position guide below to see the available module positions and place your modules accordingly. The sample content Joomla/Mambo modules should give you a good place to start
5. This template can be configured to change the order of the colors in the main menu, and you can also change the ‘default’ color. See the configuration section below for more information.

NOTES:

1. This template fully supports full width configurations for use with galleries or forums, make sure you do not publish any modules in left or right and the ‘mainbody’ will fill the entire width.

Configuration

There are a couple of configuration options for this template. This month we’ve put the configuration variables in the template’s own index.php file. This way you can use the Edit HTML button in the Template Manager to quickly and easily make changes to these options. This is how you can choose the color variations and also configure some default variables. Also you can select which menu the RTSplitMenu system should use.
