 We are proud to unveil the latest addition to the Template Club. Internet Gazette was created in response to our members request to create a ‘ezine’ style joomla template with that distinctive RocketTheme touch. his template provides supreme flexibility due to it’s highly configurable nature. Some of it’s great features include:
- 4 built-in color variants ( Dark, Light, Beige, PGA )
- The ability to configure small, wide, variable-max, and full/liquid widths
- The ability to specify left or center aligned on the page
- Suckerfish based drop-down menu
These settings are easy configured via a simple config file and require no code changes. With the built-in configuration options, Internet Gazette provides 32 different configurations.

Suckerfish Drop-Down Menu Information
The drop-down menu system uses the mainmenu menu configured in the admin administator. For this to function correctly understand that the ‘top level’ menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up under the ‘top level’ item when you mouse-over. Also there will be a small triangle to indicate that this menu option has a drop-down. For an example of this check out the demo server
Instructions
- Install as normal using the Site Templates Installer
- The primary navigation for this template is intended to be the horizontal drop down menu. You will need to keep the number of top-level menu items to 7 or 8 to ensure the menu does not wrap and cause undesirable effects. Refer to the Suckerfish instructions above to find out how to create the dropdowns.
- Follow the Module Position guid below to see the available module positions and place your modules accordingly. The sample content Joomla/Mambo modules should give you a good place to start
- This template requires the footer to be a module. Create a new module in the Site Module Administrator, and type in your text, then assign this to “Footer” module position.
Configuration
The configuration is controlled by a file called templateConfig.inc.php. Just modify this file to reflect the configuration you want to implement. If you have trouble modifying this file once you’ve installed the template, try using JoomlaXplorer
