July 2005 Template is a very clean template that can be used for a variety of applications. This template is based very loosely on SolarFlare II but has 2 interesting twists. First this template uses a very lightweight list-style split-menu system that supports up to 2 levels. Secondly, due to the highly CSS-oriented nature of this template, there are buttons on the top of the template to allow for changing the contrast and also adjust the font size in real-time.

This template is a fixed width design, that is extremely light-weight with a minimal amount of images used. Most UI elements are driven by CSS and this allows the dynamic adjustment of fonts and images.

Installation

Installation for this template is simple procedure:

1. First install the template via the administrator as you normally do.
2. This template uses the some of the modules in their default positions from the Mambo Sample Content but others will require you to move some things around.
3. the search box is untouched and should be in the User4 module position.
4. Top module position is best used for news flash modules as is the default configuration
5. The custom Split-Menu is coded to accept a 2-level Max menu called “OtherMenu”. The sample data has one with a few links in it. I suggest taking this and modifying it to suit your needs.
6. Only the Right module position is supported in this template. Change any Left modules you use to the Right position. Pelase read below on configuring the different shades of modules.
7. User1 and User2 module positions can be used for anything, but I advise using the Random Image or Newsflash module in this position. Best if used on the Homepage only.
8. Footer is using the “footer” module position, so just create a new site module with some text and assign it to the “footer” module position.
9. TIPS I strongly suggest turning off Create Date, Author, Modified Date, & Back Button for this template as it gives a cleaner, more professional look.

Colored Modules

Regarding the colored modules, you can either user -darker or -lighter in the class suffix parameter for the Right modules you want to have placed in boxes of varying shades.
